The tool row fits a small tablet

On a narrow window, such as an iPad mini held sideways, every tool in the row is now on the screen and the page no longer slides sideways. Before, the last few tools (Panel color, Construction lines, Flange lines and Snapping) could sit past the right edge of a narrow window. The buttons stand a little closer together…

A numbered picture of your panel for your POH

The tool row has a new member tool, POH figure (the open book). It makes a page for a pilot's operating handbook from your design. The page shows your panel as you designed it, with a numbered balloon and an arrow to every instrument, and a numbered list beneath: the name in bold, then what it is. Names and…

Measure between instruments and to the panel's edges

The tool row has a new member tool, Measure. It draws dimension lines on your panel and changes nothing in your design. Select one instrument, placard or add-on piece and click Measure: a line with its length runs from each edge of the item to that edge of the panel. Where the template has flange lines showing, lines…

A reminder to save, and a quieter autosave

The designer now reminds you to save, and tells you plainly when a save did not go through. After five minutes with changes not yet saved, a small Save your design button shows at the top left, under the tool row. Click it, or click Save. The designer still saves by itself every 15 minutes, now only when something has…

Click the tile and choose its Rating on the card before you add it: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 or 35. Or add it, then…

The designer says when an instrument is outside the view

An instrument that ends up far off the panel, where it cannot be seen, is no longer lost. It is still on the design and on its equipment list, and the designer now says so. A line under the tool row reads, for example, "2 instruments are outside the view." Press Bring them back and they are set in a row just below the…

The instrument search lists its results in order

The designer's search now puts its results in a sensible order. Until now they came back in the order the instruments were first entered into the library. Instruments named for the words you typed come first. The library's instruments come before members' uploads. Within each, they run by model and description, so…
