Help articles brought up to date, with pictures
Every Help article for the Builders Log, MRO, the Marketplace and the site itself has been checked against the pages as they are today, and most now carry a picture of the page they describe. New articles cover starting a project, sharing a Builders Log, sending a panel design to a build, saved searches, reporting a listing, Hangar Debrief and the Wire Size Calculator.

Help is rebuilt: search that answers, What’s new at the top, a page for every article
Help has a new front page. The search box answers as you type and understands everyday words: "login", "picture", "airplane", "ruler". What is new on every part of Hangar Flying is listed first, with a page of its own for everything new. Each app’s articles are a list of titles, and every article opens on its own page with the rest of its app’s articles beside it.

Wire size calculator: a wire in a bundle or a hot area
The calculator has a new choice, Where the wire runs. In free air it rates the wire for a 35 °C rise, as before. In a bundle or a hot area it rates the wire for a 10 °C rise, which usually means a larger wire. Under each answer the sum is worked through with your own numbers, and the page lists the wire and its figures for every size.

MRO has a front page
Opening MRO without being signed in now shows what it is: maintenance records, airworthiness directives, what is coming due, discrepancies, original logbooks, and how an owner or a shop uses it, with Join and Sign in. Signed in, MRO opens on the Dashboard as before.

A smaller cookie notice, and a corrected Privacy policy
The notice that the site uses cookies is now one small line in the corner. It shows once and goes when you carry on. The Privacy policy now says how visits are counted (by us, with no analytics company and no cookie), lists the cookies the site sets, and says how the site answers a Do Not Track signal.

One bar across the top of every page
Every page of Hangar Flying now has the same bar across the top: Panel (the Panel Designer), MRO, Marketplace and Tools, with Help, search, the bell and the button with your name at the right. The logo opens Home. The row under the bar lists the pages of the app you are in; on a phone that row is the bar at the bottom of the screen and the apps are behind the square of dots at the top. One Support button replaces Feature request, Report a problem and Ask a question: the form it opens asks which. The Wire Size Calculator is under Tools, and it is the one calculator for the whole site.

Hangar Flying’s home is hangarflying.com, and it is a membership
hangarflying.com now opens Hangar Flying’s own home page, with the Panel Designer at hangarflying.com/panel; every older address still arrives. And one word has changed across the site: what was called your subscription is your membership. Nothing about the price, the renewal or your card has changed. It is under My membership in the account menu.

My requests: what you send us is answered on the site
A problem, a feature request or a question you send us is now a numbered request. Our answer comes by email with a link to the conversation, where you can write back, and My requests in the account menu lists each one and where it stands. Tell us what goes wrong, at the foot of every page, now also takes questions; the separate Contact page is gone.

The link in a sign-in email opens a Continue button
The link we email you to choose a password or confirm your address now opens a page with one button, Continue. Press it to go on. Some mail services open every link in a message to check it before you see it, which used the link up and left it reading as expired; now only pressing Continue uses it.

MRO in the apps menu
MRO, for your aircraft’s maintenance, compliance and records, now has its place in Apps at the top right of every page, a card on Home, and its own section in Help.

Every help article in Help, and one foot on every page
The Panel Designer’s help articles now open here, each on a page of its own under Help, and the Panel Designer’s Help button and its old help page lead here too. The foot of every page reads the same across the whole site: Hangar Flying, Panel Designer, Tools and Help, then the terms.

Apps, beside the dots
The button at the top right of every page that opens Hangar Flying’s apps now says Apps beside its square of dots, on this site and the Panel Designer alike.

Home: Hangar Flying, where it is going, and every page
Home now tells the story of Hangar Flying and where it is going — one site for the life of an aircraft, from the build to maintenance and the sale — with each app in the order the work happens, open or coming, and a list of every page on the site: the Panel Designer’s, the Marketplace’s, the tools, Help and What’s new.

Signing in brings you to Home
Signing in or creating an account now lands on the Hangar Flying home page, signed in to the Panel Designer too, unless you were on your way to a particular page — then you go straight back to it. The apps menu names each app in one word: Home, Panels, Marketplace, Help.

Move between the apps, a new home page, and one Help
The square of nine dots at the top right of every page opens Hangar Flying’s apps — Home, the Panel Designer, the Marketplace and Help — on this site and the Panel Designer alike. Home shows a card for each app with what is waiting for you there. Help is now one page for every app, in sections, with one search across all of them; it opens at the section for the app you came from.

Sign in with your Panel Designer account, and Profile
If you have an account on the Hangar Flying Panel Designer, sign in here with the same email and password — your account is made here as you sign in, with your name and your membership, and your Panel Designer account carries on exactly as before. New to Hangar Flying? Create an account is on the sign-in page. The page that holds your name, email and password is now called Profile, in the menu under your name; old bookmarks still find it.

One appearance, and a new icon in the tab
The product is light only now. The dark appearance and “follow my device” are gone, and so is the chooser for them in the menu under your name — every page reads the same on every machine, whatever that machine is set to. The colors that carry meaning have not moved: red still stops a signature, amber still waits, green is still settled. And the icon in the browser tab, in your bookmarks and on a phone’s home screen is now the Hangar Flying mark itself — the same one hangarflying.com wears. A tab left open from before may keep the old icon until you reload it.
