A lowered price shows as Price reduced

When a seller lowers the price of a listing that is showing, the Marketplace now says so: the card and the listing carry Price reduced with the earlier price struck through, and the listing gives the day. Search has a Price reduced box that narrows the results to those listings. If you have a saved search with email on, a listing in it whose price comes down is in your daily email. To lower a price, open your listing, press Edit and change the price. A lowered price is also posted again to the Marketplace’s Facebook Page, as Price reduced, not more than once a week for one listing. A price raised back to where it was shows nothing.

A listing’s photographs: quicker to open, and larger

A listing’s photographs open far faster: each is sent at the size your screen needs — small for the strip and the cards, larger for the listing, sharpest in the full-screen view — instead of the whole file the camera made. Where a card crops a listing’s main photograph, the crop now keeps the aircraft itself in view — its nose and cabin — rather than the middle of the picture. Press the large photograph on a listing to see the photographs as big as your screen allows. The arrows, the arrow keys or a swipe go through them, the strip underneath jumps to any one, and Esc or the × closes it, leaving the listing on the photograph you were looking at.

The Marketplace: its own Help, a dealer’s business name, and feature requests

Help has a Marketplace section of its own — finding, reading a listing, contacting a seller, listing an aircraft or property, your listings, and the paperwork of a sale — reached from Help in the Marketplace’s menu, with the Marketplace’s What’s new under it. A dealer can say so under You sell as on My listings, and their listings then show the business name, marked Dealer. Feature request and Report a problem, beside the Marketplace’s menu, send a few words and the page you were on to the people who build the site.

The Marketplace: contact the seller, share a listing, the inspection at a glance

Contact the seller, under the price, holds the seller’s telephone number if they give one and a private conversation between you and the seller — email tells each side there is a message, and nobody’s address is shown. Share passes a listing on from your phone or copies its address. A listing can give the date of its last annual or condition inspection, and shows whether it is current. Research this aircraft now links the manufacturers’ service bulletins and letters, and shows airframe directives only for a standard airworthiness certificate. Each aircraft listing links the FAA forms a sale needs. There is no charge for a 30-day listing until 1 Jan 2027.

The Marketplace: aircraft and airpark property for sale

List an aircraft, a project or kit, an airpark home or lot, a hangar or a tie-down, and find them at hangarflying.com/marketplace. Type an aircraft’s registration number and the FAA registry finds it for you; then photos (up to thirty), a video, documents, the engine and propeller, and List it. Buyers search by make, model, year, price, total time and state, save a search and get an email when something new answers it, ask questions on the site, and research the aircraft from its card. Nobody’s email address is shown, and Hangar Flying takes nothing from the sale. Listings are a dollar a day, and there is no charge during the opening offer.
