The Marketplace

Aircraft and airpark property for sale, listed by their owners.

The Marketplace lists aircraft (standard airworthiness, experimental amateur-built, light sport, and projects and kits) and aviation property (airpark homes and lots, hangars, tie-downs). Anybody can look. Listing something, or asking a seller a question, needs an account.

To list an aircraft:

Press List something for sale, and choose An aircraft.
Type the registration number and press Look it up. The FAA registry fills in the manufacturer, model, year, serial number, engine and certificate; if it is right, press Yes — continue to photos. A project not yet registered has its own button.
Press Upload photos and choose up to thirty; they upload as soon as you choose them. Make main puts one first. A video (up to 95 MB) and documents — logbook pages, weight and balance, the POH — can go up here too; documents are shown to signed-in members only.
On Details, check what came from the FAA, and add the engine and propeller (make, model, serial number, time), total time, avionics, STCs, YouTube links, the price or Make offer, where it is, and the description. Press Save and review.
On Review you see the card as buyers will. Choose 30, 60 or 90 days and press List it. It comes down by itself at the end; a week before, you get an email with the renewal.

A listing whose details agree with the FAA registry carries a Matches the FAA registry mark. A listing that does not match, or a project not registered yet, still goes up; it just has no mark.

Questions and answers happen on the site. A buyer asks on the listing; you get an email saying there is a question, and answer it under My listings. Tick Show this question and answer on the listing to let the next buyer read it — it shows without the asker’s name. Neither of you ever sees the other’s email address. Stop this member asking ends questions from one account.

Looking for something? The search down the side of the Marketplace takes words, make, model, year, price, total time and state, and sorts by price, year or hours. Signed in, press Save this search, and you get an email when something new answers it, with a link straight to each listing. Saved searches lists them, with how many are new; turn the emails off or delete a search there.

Hangar Flying introduces buyer and seller and takes no part in the sale, and takes nothing from it. Listings are a dollar a day, and there is no charge during the opening offer.
