Avionics systems, in the Panel menu after Panel templates, has a page for each of the systems builders install most, each with the displays the library has for it and the designs that use it. Ten have a configurator: press Configure this system on the system's page.
- Displays: one card for each display on the panel. Choose its size, orientation, model and screen on the card. Add a display adds another; Remove takes one away.
- Answer each question below the displays. Each has a short explanation and names the installation manual it comes from.
- The Parts list at the right fills in as you go: the displays, then what the system needs for them, with part numbers and prices. A yellow chip counts the questions still to answer.
- Copy link keeps the whole configuration in one address; Print prints the list.
- Create this panel design asks for a design name and your panel template, then lays out the displays and panel items on it: the displays outboard, the pilot's side first and then the copilot's; the radios and autopilot controllers in the center stack; every top level, all inside the template's flange lines. The rest of the system goes on the design's bill of materials. Create this panel design is also at the foot of the configurator.
- Garmin AXIS and G3X Touch ask for the autopilot's mode controller and up to two more ADAHRS, as their installation manuals allow.
- Creating a design needs a membership or an account in its trial; anyone can configure a system and see its parts list.
