Import a panel drawing, on My designs, makes a design from the PDF drawing a panel shop or avionics dealer drew for your panel, such as an Advanced Flight Systems drawing.
- On My designs, press Import a panel drawing.
- Press Choose the PDF and pick the drawing. It is read in your browser; only the panel's outline, its cutouts and their words are sent.
- On Check the drawing, each cutout is numbered on a map of the panel, and the table below proposes an instrument for each:
- A blue box will be placed; a white one is left off.
- Change a row with its list, or type in Or search the library to choose any instrument.
- Choose Leave off for anything you will add yourself.
- Under Design name, name the design. The template the drawing names is chosen for you, marked named on the drawing; choose another from the list if it is not yours.
- Press Create the design. It opens in the designer with each instrument where the drawing has it.
- Only the main panel is read. Enlarged views of parts of the panel elsewhere on the sheet are left alone.
- The drawing needs to be a drawing, made by a drawing program, not a scan or a photograph.
- Check each instrument in the designer, and add anything the drawing did not name.
