Choose a display's size, model and screen

More than 300 displays in the library are 72 product lines. A line is one tile in the search, and you choose what you need on its card: Garmin G3X Touch, TXi, Axis, G5, GI 275, the GTN and GNS navigators and the aera portables; Dynon SkyView HDX, SkyView and the D10 and D100 series; uAvionix AV-30 and AV-20; GRT; MGL iEFIS and XTreme; Aspen Evolution; Avidyne IFD; the iPads; and others. Many displays, such as the 360 Avionics ELM1000, also show any of their screens.

Add one

  1. Type the line or a model in the Search instruments by keyword box, for example "G3X Touch", "GTN 650" or "IFD". The line shows once. A search for one model, such as "GTN 635", opens the line already set to that model.
  2. Click the tile. On its card, choose a row at a time: Size (for example 7 in. or 10.6 in.), Orientation (landscape or portrait), Model and Screen. Each row offers only what comes in the choices above it, and a row with nothing to choose is not shown.
  3. Press Add and click on the panel where it goes, or double-click the tile to add it at once.

A G3X Touch found in the search, its size and screen chosen on its card, added to the panel, opened, and changed to other screens and another size

Change one already on the panel

Double-click it, or select it and press the button under its details on the right (it names what the display lets you change, such as Change screen or Change size, orientation or screen). The same box opens. Choose another screen, size or model.

On a finished panel, a G3X Touch is opened and changed through its screens (PFD with map inset, PFD with synthetic vision, PFD and approach chart, Map, PFD and map), then the AV-30 through its HSI, Traffic, Map, Directional gyro and Attitude screens

  • Choosing a screen changes nothing but the screen. The display keeps its case, its place and its size.
  • A new size keeps its center. Check the instruments around it after changing the size.
  • The box, and the card an instrument is added from, can be dragged by their top edge when they are in the way. Esc, or a click anywhere else, closes the box.
  • Undo takes back a change.
  • The equipment list counts the display once, whichever screen it shows, and names the model you chose.

To add a toggle switch in a color or a circuit breaker with its rating, see Add a single instrument.
