Click Save in the menu bar at the top of the designer. Saving an existing design replaces the previous version, and refreshes the picture of it on My designs.
Autosave. The designer also saves your work by itself every 15 minutes, but only when something has changed or you have worked on the page since the last save. A tab left open with nobody at it saves nothing. Save before you close the page.
- After five minutes with changes not yet saved, a small Save your design button shows at the top left, under the tool row. Click it, or click Save.
- If a save does not go through, your changes stay on the page. A note says The design was not saved and when it will try again: after 30 seconds, then 1 minute, 2 minutes and 5 minutes. After that it shows Not saved. Press Save to try again. If the connection comes back after that, it tries once more by itself.
- If you have been signed out, it shows Sign in again to save. Open another tab, sign in, then come back and click Save. Do not reload the page: a reload loses what was not saved. If another account has signed in on the same browser since, the note says so: sign in again as the account that opened the design, then click Save.
- Before an update an amber bar across the top says when it is and counts down. The designer saves your design for you just before; Save now in the bar saves at once.
- If the bar says "This page was opened before a site update and is not saving your changes", reload the page. Your design opens as it was last saved.
Your saved designs are listed on My designs, the first page in the row under the bar.
