Where the data comes from, and how fresh it is

Synced nightly and weekly from the FAA, dated on the page, and backed up every night.

How often each source is read:

  1. Airworthiness directives: nightly, from the Federal Register, with the FAA’s Dynamic Regulatory System filling in the manufacturer and model fields. A new directive raises a notice on every aircraft it reaches.
  2. The FAA aircraft registry, type certificate data sheets, the supplemental type certificate list, and the regulations: weekly.
  3. Manufacturer service document lists: nightly, from each manufacturer’s own published page. The site keeps the reference, the date and the link, never the body.

The pages say how fresh they are. The Directives page states how many directives it checked against and as of what date. The Service documents and STCs pages give the date their lists were taken. Every outside source is checked daily for failure, including a page that still answers but returns nothing.

Your records are backed up every night, off the server, and the restore is tested. Nothing you write down is thrown away.
